Short trip to India

May 3rd, 2007

Being in India was always nice to me and moreover it was a short trip (very short just 4d’s ) to enjoy of any sort. We had a Housewarming for our Madhavaram House and finally we did move to Madhavaram from our MC Road house.

Yet again i was not able to meet any of my friends and was just able to talk in the phone.

Reason for that ?
They were busy (and me as well).

Will the good old days with my friends will ever return again ?
A Million dollar question and only time can answer ….

RHEL 5 Intial thoughts

April 7th, 2007

Planning to write a RHEL 5 review within a week to coincide with 1 month of its release.

Points to ponder ( good and bad)

  1. Virtualization based on Xen.
  2. Just two set of cd’s for Server & Desktop ( No AS, ES, WS, Desktop Variants).
  3. Installation No. :(
  4. Conga/Luci for (Web-based management for Red Hat Cluster Suite)
  5. The Ext3 file system to support 16TB file systems

and more coming soon….

Complete Features here and compare with previous versions here.
